Our activity is subject to the supervision of the Government, the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, and the Body of Independent Inspection of Intelligence Agencies of the Czech Republic. The scope and the manner of supervision is anchored in Law No. 153/1994 Coll., on Intelligence Agencies of the Czech Republic, as amended.

With effect from 1 January 2018, a special inspection body was established within the Chamber of Deputies for supervising our activity - the Permanent Commission for Inspecting the Activity of the Office for Foreign Relations and Information.

A very important although informal role in the general inspection of the activity of intelligence agencies is played by the public, namely especially through the information of the media.Inside the agency, internal inspection mechanisms are also applied.
